Founded in 1991, Acqua-Dent Dental Lab began by offering premium removable dental products to Central New Jersey and grew to cover all areas of dental prosthetics. With a clear business strategy, we partnered with industry-leading companies, continuously investing in cutting-edge technology. Supported by a highly skilled team of fourteen technicians, Acqua-Dent combined extensive expertise with the personalized service of a small, dedicated lab. After selling the production portion of the laboratory in May of 2021, Acqua-Dent now focuses solely on All-On-X personalized services.

Our Story
Michael Acquaviva – Owner, CDT
Michael Acquaviva is the owner of Acqua-Dent, Inc., a dental laboratory located in Millstone, New Jersey. He began his career in 1985, working in the Model Department at Dental Technique Laboratory in Denville, NJ. In 1988, he pursued his formal education at the Union County College Program for Dental Technology while gaining hands-on experience at a prestigious denture laboratory in Red Bank, NJ.
Acqua-Dent, Inc. was established in February 1991 as a single-person denture lab. Michael earned technical certification for dentures from the National Board for Certification of Dental Technology, which requires annual continuing education to stay updated with advancements in the field. For the past five years, he has also been a member of the Seattle Study Club, sponsoring numerous study clubs and lectures over the years.
In 2004, as the dental lab industry entered its earliest stages of technological advancement, Michael introduced CAD/CAM technology to Acqua-Dent. He continued to advance in all areas of technology, positioning Acqua-Dent, Inc. as an invaluable resource for the dental community. A move in 2015 to a state-of-the-art facility in Millstone, NJ, enabled access to the latest and rapidly evolving technologies. The facility features a fully digital workflow that incorporates original implant parts and components.
As the All-on-4® process gained popularity in the dental industry, Michael mastered the technique and has performed over 2,000 chairside conversions to date. This extensive in-office experience has provided him with a unique perspective on dental care options, further enhancing his expertise.
This transition enabled Michael to educate and aid through the procedure. As this procedure became more digitally focused, Acqua-Dent has acquired the necessary equipment such as photogrammetry from iMetric to facilitate the process for the general practitioner. This method has increased time efficiency, predictability, and accuracy.
As an additional resource, Acqua-Dent has collaborated with prosthodontist Dr. Anthony Sallustio to provide surgical planning services, including the creation of surgical guides. This restoratively driven approach has empowered general dentists to plan and execute cases with greater confidence.
