A Better Prosthesis in Half the Chair Time: The Digital All-on-X® Workflow
Go Digital
The digital approach to full-arch restorations is eclipsing the traditional analog method due to improved accuracy, predictability, and efficiency. The digital protocol for a final full-arch prosthesis is not only faster and more efficient – it also results in a stronger, more aesthetically pleasing smile.
The Benefits of Digital Dentistry

Predictability
More predictable bite and aesthetics with the help of intraoral scans, photogrammetry, and digital designs

Accuracy & Precision
Digital workflows eliminate human error by using high-resolution 3D scans that allow for immediate review and correction

Patient Comfort
Less work done intraorally and no need for uncomfortable impressions

Cost-Efficient
No need for practitioner to buy parts and materials such as Smart-On-X parts, impression copings, or impression materials

Less Chair Time
Only 3 total visits post-op (scans, prototype try-in, final insert) as opposed to 5+ total visits when done traditionally

Faster Turnarounds
Saved digital files allow for easy reprints, remakes, and adjustments
The Digital Workflow
Day of Surgery
- Bone screws placed as fiduciary markers and scanned using an intraoral scanner

- Photogrammetry and intraoral scans are taken
- Temporary is designed digitally and 3D printed on on-site using our mobile lab unit
- Temporary is inserted same day
Post-Op
- Take intraoral scans of temporary in the mouth, opposing arch, and bite
- Remove temporary, place white caps on multi-unit abutments, and scan for tissue
- Acqua-Dent to perform photogrammetry scans utilizing the ICam 4D by iMetric
- Design of prototype using ExoCad digital design
- Fabrication of 3D printed prototype in OnX Tough 2 for try-in
- Completion and final insert of full zirconia restoration, acrylic hybrid bar, or zirconia split bar
